Picture
As a self taught artist, my style has developed over the years. My main passion is painting with oils in an expressive way, to create a bold interpretation of the subject. Much of the time I paint with palette knives, which enables me to work with the paint in a much freer, more fluid way; the loose, rich textures can create a more abstract, impressionistic piece of work.

Many of my artworks are inspired by nature and wildlife, and by stunning landscapes - close to my home in Kent, as well as travels further afield.

In 2017 I diversified into working in a very different medium - using unspun wool and a barbed needle to create unique, characterful pictures and cards, primarily of animals and birds - Jools Wool Art.
A selection of my larger wool pictures are included on the website, however smaller wool pictures and wool cards are available on request.
